Rand Bishop is a Grammy Nominated, BMI Award-winning songwriter with over 200 cuts to his credit. Notable artists who have recorded Rand’s songs include Tim McGraw, David Ball, Lorrie Morgan, Doug Stone, Tracy Byrd, The Beach Boys, Heart, Cheap Trick, Indigo Girls, Richie Havens, Peter Noone, The Searchers, The Outlaws and Vanilla Fudge, among others.

Rand’s song, My List, recorded by Toby Keith, spent five weeks at number one on the Billboard country singles chart in the spring of 2002 and, according to industry bible Radio & Records Magazine, was the #1 most played single on country radio for that year. He also co-authored a companion book, My List (24 Reflections on Life’s Priorities), with the song’s collaborator Tim James, which was published by McGraw-Hill.

Rand’s first original screenplay, The Tin Roof, won first place in the 2004 National Screenplay Showdown. His second, The Year Of Cousin Sonny, has been optioned by No Negative Pictures, LLC, while his stage play, The Viewing, received a September 2006 run at the Darkhorse Theatre in Nashville, produced by Rhubarb Theatre Company.

In his more than thirty-year career, Rand has filled just about every role in the creative end of the music business -- with experience as a recording artist signed to several major labels (including Elektra, Epic, A&M and MCA), as a music producer (records and films), composer (films, public service announcements and commercials), music publisher and A&R/talent development executive. Rand has contributed songs to over a dozen feature films and a Broadway show, and has co-written musicals which have been produced in regional and community theatre.

Rand studied music composition at the Oberlin Conservatory. He now serves as Vice President of the Board of the Nashville Film Festival and is a founding partner and Chief Manager of Writer Zone Music in Nashville, where he lives with his wife Stacey and youngest daughter Glendyn.

Paige Manuel is a songwriter with absolutely no credits to her name. In fact, none of her songs have ever been cut and her sole purpose for writing is creative expression.

Growing up an only child in rural Virginia, playmates were scarce so Paige turned to music. She happened to have a natural affinity for harmony and would play records (yes, she’s that old) for hours, picking out the different harmony parts as a pastime. Throughout her adolescence, music became her solace and Paige purged many emotions at the piano.

She wrote her first song in 1987 after a particularly trying personal experience during which she began to listen to her own voice. "It took me that long [25 years] to realize I had something worth saying and that I could say it through original music" Paige says, smiling. "I was sitting at the piano one evening pouring out my emotions when suddenly this melody and lyrics started simultaneously emerging. I was stunned, elated, frightened and excited – all at the same time." She insists she wasn’t writing the song, the song was writing through her, and that’s pretty much how it’s been ever since. At this point, she's penned approximately 150 songs - some for weddings, but mostly for pure enjoyment.

Paige has a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry that has been totally useless, with the exception of teaching her to think analytically and strategically. She now combines those skills with extraordinary insight as a Life Coach, a career that aligns with her philosophy: we are not here to see through each other, but to see each other through. She lives in Nashville with her brilliant and talented husband, Dan DeFigio and their neurotic, but very lovable dog, Pete.
