Trent Jeffcoat was born in
Lexington County, South Carolina. He wrote his first song at age 8 as a
birthday present for his grandma. This song, titled She Bosses me around
this Little Town (written in honor of his granddad), started a chain
of events that led him to Nashville, a dream he had since he was 14. In November 1996,
Trent married his high school sweetheart, Whitnei. They lived happily together until
disaster struck four months later. In March of 1997, Trent and Whitnei were in a car
accident that broke Trents neck and left him paralyzed. All the
doctors said he'd never walk again. Trent, however, was determined and swore he would be
walking by Christmas. After months of hard work, he outdid that prediction, taking his
first steps that August. On July 1st, 2003, Trent and Whitnei sold everything and moved to
Nashville. Trent's a good ole boy through and through. He loves hunting, fishing and just
about everything about the South, and is a family man believing in good Christian values.
His musical influences include Paul Overstreet, Dean Dillon, Keith Whitley, Alan
Jackson, George Strait, Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin, Randy Travis, Hank Williams Jr. and
Lynyrd Skynyrd. He's now writing full time: recording, doing demos and singing
around Nashville. |
