This month's lineup features traditional country, Music Row success and folkie-bluegrass of sorts. Jesse has been a friend for several years, and alternates among folk, bluegrass and roots-country. Ray is his good friend and writing partner, and has made his own name around town for his own broad repertoire. And a last-minute substitution, Trent Jeffcoat, is just going to raise the bar a little more. Come on out, and see and hear for yourself!

Jesse McRae has been a songwriter for forty years. Through a music career that has taken him Coast to Coast and from the Arctic Circle to the Gulf of Mexico, Jesse has built a network of friends and fans who can't wait to hear the next "Jesse song." After working in Canada for 25 years as a performing songwriter, radio host and interviewer, Jesse moved to Nashville in 1990, to fully explore the co-writing process. He's built a reputation as a unique and innovative songwriter, garnering praise as well as a large number of loyal fans and friends. Over the years Jesse has had a number of Canadian and regional cuts, as well as a song that was used as the theme for a two-year advertising campaign by the Freightliner Company. Jesse also has a new song, "Mother's Boy," which he co-wrote with independent American artist Teddy Larkin' and is on Teddy's latest CD, "Takes One To Know One,"released in October on the Scary Wagon Label. He also has several songs on hold with other artists. Trent Jeffcoat was born  in Lexington County, South Carolina. He wrote his first song at age 8 as a birthday present for his grandma. This song, titled “She Bosses me around this Little Town” (written in honor of his granddad), started a chain of events that led him to Nashville, a dream he had since he was 14. In November 1996, Trent married his high school sweetheart, Whitnei. They lived happily together until disaster struck four months later. In March of 1997, Trent and Whitnei were in a car accident that broke Trent’s neck and left him paralyzed. All the doctors said he'd never walk again. Trent, however, was determined and swore he would be walking by Christmas. After months of hard work, he outdid that prediction, taking his first steps that August. On July 1st, 2003, Trent and Whitnei sold everything and moved to Nashville. Trent's a good ole boy through and through. He loves hunting, fishing and just about everything about the South, and is a family man believing in good Christian values. His musical influences include Paul Overstreet, Dean Dillon, Keith Whitley, Alan Jackson, George Strait, Merle Haggard, Vern Gosdin, Randy Travis, Hank Williams Jr. and Lynyrd Skynyrd. He's now writing full time: recording, doing demos and singing around Nashville. A North Carolina native, Ray Sisk has called Nashville his home for the past 15 years.

He and his old songwriting buddies form an essential "Who's Who" of the Asheville, NC songwriting community: Billy Edd
Wheeler
, Don Humphries, Malcolm Holcombe
and Warren Haynes.

Ray's songs have been interpreted by Warren Haynes/Gov't Mule, the Grateful Dead, Happy Traum and countless others. Ray continues to create classic songs in his inimitable style, and is a valued fixture in the Nashville songwriting community.
